The EMS Training LLCs BCLS Instructor Certification course trains participants to teach CPR and Basic Life Support to the community.

BLS is geared towards prehospital providers, like EMTs, paramedics, fire fighters, and in-facility hospital providers. Upon successful completion of the course, students receive a course completion card, valid for two years. Please contact your employer to ensure that you are selecting the correct course.

BLS Instructors can Teach all Heartsaver Courses as long as they have the required materials and instructor manual.

Course Pre-requitistes?

• Must be at-least 18 years of age or with an adult
• Complete the BLS Instructor Essentials Online Prior to Course
  
• Required Equipment for BLS Courses
• Purchase the 2020 BLS Instructor Package with Digital Video
• Purchase the 2020 Manikins with Feedback Devices, Prestan
• Provide a First Name, Last Name, Email and Phone Number

• Familiarize yourself with the AHA Program Admistration Manual
  
• Instructor Orientation Online Part One 

Instructors are required to complete a mininum of two classs in each discipline they teach, every two years, Instructors will then be aligned with the training site/center.

After completing Pre req instructors come in for hands on skills training where they are tested and trained to see if they know the BLS skills, then you will teach segments of an actual BLS course while being monitored by our BLS Training Center Faculty.  Upon successful completetion of your monitoring session you will be approved for the next step instructor orientation paper and policies and procedures. All instructors become aligned with the training center when they become instrcutors. 

You will be required to monitor up to three courses and teach a final course all by yourself. with no help from TCF or course director. It may take a 2 to 3 months to complete all the requirements. You have 6 months to complete all requirements.
